The lab behind the launches
BakerLab started in 2017 with one uncomfortable observation: most agency websites win pitches, not customers. We built a studio that gets judged on the second thing.
Why we call it a lab
Our founders spent years inside larger agencies watching beautiful websites launch to polite applause and flat sales charts. The problem was never talent — it was that nobody stayed around to measure, so nobody learned what actually worked.
BakerLab was set up to close that loop. Every project ships with instrumentation. Every design decision becomes a hypothesis we can check. Nine years and 210+ launches later, that habit is our entire competitive advantage: we simply know more about what makes Malaysian visitors enquire, book and buy, because we have been counting.
We are twelve people in Taman Tun Dr Ismail — designers, developers, a researcher and a writer. No account managers, no outsourcing. The person who scopes your project builds it.

Four rules we do not bend
- Quote once, in writing. If we misjudge the effort, that is our cost, not yours.
- Say no early. If an audit shows your site does not need rebuilding, we tell you and walk away.
- Show the data. You get the same dashboards we use, not a summary designed to flatter us.
- Build for the connection you have. Sites are tested on mid-range phones over 4G, because that is Malaysia’s real internet.
